One of the visitors has summed up his experience in Kryivka at TripAdvisor as follows:
Very interesting concept here. Knock the door and enter... but don't forget to say "Slava Ukraini!". After that a small sip of honey wine and you will be sent down to the bunker and enter in a war atmosphere. Wooden tables, pistols, guns, and other artifacts from the war, will make you feel there... at war. Oh, and food is served in original tin army pan. Food is great, the ambient is great and there's also live Ukrainian music. In the end you can even dress a uniform and grab a gun for a photo moment 🙂
Excursion to Lychakiv Cemetery (Lychakivs'kyi Tsvyntar) is key to understanding Lviv, as it is a cemetery-museum of Galicia’s history uniting dozens of eminent people who lived and loved Ukraine here after death.
Lychakiv Cemetery has began with first burials in 16th century, but was not officially established until 1786. More than 400,000 inhabitants have found their peace and quiet here since then. The reason why you should start your acquaintance with Lviv from its cemetery is because here you can truly grasp the incredible diversity of those who lived and influenced the city throughout its history: you will find the tributes on the grave markers in Ukrainian, Russian, German, Polish, Armenian and Latin. The neighboring graves will, much to your surprise, tell the stories of the elite and middle-class families from 19th century as well as the departed communists from the Soviet era. Artists, politicians and social movement members, spiritual leaders and scientist are lying next to each other having finally ceased their disputes and controversies.
